3 popular Method of Self Hypnosis

We actually hypnotize someone or ourselves the way we feel easy to. But, there are some other popular ways for hypnotizing. So, in this particular article we are going to talk about three well-known and very effective way for self hypnosis. But, before we get started, we would like you to know that self hypnosis isn't a magical method that can radically change everything around you. It can merely do nothing but, motivating your subconscious mind the way you like. And the main task is gonna be done by you, yourself. So, what we imply is, self hypnosis basically awakens your hidden mind who controls the work, you are unable to. Self hypnosis creates a positive mind set up for the goal you set. And it pushes you to that in every possible way, even when you are totally unaware of that. Yes, that is the main thing it does. So, if you think, you can just use self hypnosis on yourself and can do the impossible stuffs, i am afraid you are mistaken. Hypnosis is no philosopher stone that can do anything, (even if it's impossible). Then, there is the question. what is hypnosis capable of? or why we are gonna try it on ourself? 1) Pendulum Method:

Pendulum method is probably most famous method for hypnotizing someone. We often see in the movies that the psychiatrist is holding a chain-clock in his hand. Holding the stretching clock he gives the hypnotic suggestions to the subject. We can, use this method for Self Hypnosis too. How? At first you have to collect a Pendulum. It's not that rare to find or to buy. However if you are unable to buy a pendulum, you can easily make one on your own. Find a short string and a slightly heavy object. Then, tie the object on the string. Now you are ready for this method alongside with your pendulum. Now, take a comfortable seat. Relax your body and clear your mind. Lift the pendulum you made in one hand. Start to stretch it from left side to right. Try to focus on the object you just tied with the string. Don't try hard. Clear your mind and then try to look at that gently. After that after a while you will find yourself in a hypnotic trance. Your eyes may turn to close itself. Let it be. After that, start your usual statements or auto-suggestions.

2) Betty Erickson Method:

Betty Erickson was the wife of Milton Erickson. She was a hypnotist too. She used self hypnosis in her own way. Later this method got popular and named after Betty Erickson. In this technique the subject is told to concentrate on what he is seeing, hearing and feeling by his skin. It can be perform in ordinary hypnosis as well as self hypnosis. This method is also known as 3,2,1 method. After getting in a comfortable position, you have to relax your body as well as mind. Then, try to remind any pleasant memory. Then, focus on a certain point in-front of you. Then you have to make 3 statements about what you can see, hear and feel by the skin. Then, again you have to focus and make 2 statement about what you see, hear and feel. The same way, try to make 1 statement each about what you can see, hear and feel. Don't panic. You can repeat any point if you can't find something you see or hear. You can repeat the process and take as many session as it takes to get into the hypnotic trance. A few minutes later, you will find yourself deeply relaxed. Now, you shall take the suggestions you wanna make. 

 3) Magnetic Hands:

This method is kind of weird. But, it works very well, as we know. First you have to rub both of your hands. Then, try to keep both of your hands at a close distance like 1- 6/7 inches. Feel the natural magnetic pull that attracting your hands together. Try to imagine that your both hands are magnets. Imagine they have attraction power. Then, try to feel the sensation of that attraction. You can play around with your hands. Then, will find, your hands are trying to come together. Close your eyes and feel the magnetic energy. Focus on the magnetic energy both of your hands are producing. Then, try to deepen the hypnotic trance. Once you're in deep trance, follow the usual process. Take long breath. Believe:

Step 2:

Relax:

Get yourself in a comfortable environment. Find a quiet place where no one will disturb you. It is one of the basic things that Self hypnosis requires. Sit on the chair or you can lay down on the bed, if you want Relax your body muscles (especially abdominal muscles). Think about any pleasant memories that you had. It will make your mind relax. Step 3:

Focus:

Focus on an object. In self hypnosis, focusing on a certain object is really important. You can find several things in your room to focus on. Just pick one that is eye-soothing and pleasant to stare at. It can be a watch, a pencil box, a candle or anything you'd like to look at. Just make sure it's not too bright for your eyes. Otherwise you'll face trouble looking at it for a long time.

Step 4:

Breathe Steadily:

Take slow and deep breath. Concentrate on your breathing. Pay attention to the rhythm you're breathing. At this stage you may close your eyes, gently. Just continue taking gentle breath. Focus on the rhythm you are breathing at.  

Step 5:

Imagine:

Imagine a peaceful and gentle place, you'd like to be. It can be a fountain, it can be a village surrounded by green leaves, it can be the apex of a mountain or it can be a forest full of birds flying over your head. You can even imagine your childhood home if you like to. Just make sure, you imagine a place you would like to go or that being there would make you happy!

Step 6:

Statement:

Make a certain statement about how much weight you wanna lose. State that you would like to cut your weight willingly. Also, do say that, after losing your weight, you would be more healthy and strong. Now, try to repeat that statement bunch of time. This will get into your subconscious mind. This way, you will have a control over your subconscious mind. Don't panic about, the statement. Just make it. No one gonna hear it except you.  

Step 7:

Visualize:

Visualize yourself as a slim, healthy and happy man. Try to think how wonderful it would be after you lose your extra weight by self hypnosis. This will trigger your subconscious mind. And also, put that in mind, you would really like to be the slim and healthy person you're visualizing now.  

Step 8:

Countdown:

This is the last step of self hypnosis for weight loss. Start counting downwards from the zero. Say, you'll be in deep hypnotic trance once you countdown to the zero. Then start counting gently. 10,….9,..8,..7,...6,..5,..4,..3,..2,..1,..0. Now you'll find yourself in deep sleep .      

What to avoid and what not:

  1. Try to avoid all kinds of junk and fatty foods at all cost.
  2. Try to eat several small meals instead of a large amount of food.
  3. Don't avoid the fruits and vegetables.

First of all, without proper instruction from a doctor, we should never get any medicine that makes us asleep. Comfortable Environment:

Visualize:
Like meditation, Self hypnosis for sleep also requires visualizing a relaxing place. It should be your favorite place. You can visualize your childhood home or a peaceful village. You can visualize the top of a mountain, the eve of a fountain or any place you'd like to be.  

Step-5:

Spell any word or phrase continuously:
Choose a short verse or a word you like to spell. Spell it each time you take a breath. Concentrate on the meaning of those words. At the same time try to think, how peaceful the word is.   At this rate you will fall asleep soon. If you still face trouble to get sleep, try to listen some hypnosis recording. How to perform Self hypnosis

When, a subject himself makes a hypnotic trance instead of the hypnotist and hypnotize himself that is known as self hypnosis.

The subject goes under the same hypnotic process though. However, he has to act as his own guide.   Many of the people get confused between self hypnosis and meditation. In meditation we let our mind get relaxed and direct it without a purpose. But, in hypnosis we aim for a certain and clear purpose. So, it is very important for us to make our own purpose in mind before we get started. The self hypnosis process requires a certain place where you can take a rest sitting or lying. You should choose a place that is quiet and make sure that you would not get disturbed. And don't get panic. There is no strict line of experience is there for self hypnosis. Just enjoy the hypnotic trance and know that, whatever you feel is the right way to feel it for you.   Actually there are a bunch of different ways you can hypnotize yourself. We'd prefer to use the Betty Erickson Method. Procedure:

1) Relax:

Self hypnosis requires a relaxing environment, like any other hypnosis process. Find a quiet place where you can sit or lay down. Make sure, no one will disturb you. Then, calm yourself. No hurry, no rush. Just relax your body muscles. try to remember a pleasant memory you had. Don't let any worrisome thought come close to you. Otherwise, you will get distracted.

2) Focus your vision:

  Focusing your vision is very important for any kind of hypnosis. Try to focus your vision on certain something that you can comfortably continue focusing. It can be anything, any object. But, do make sure, it is something eye-soothing and pleasant. You don't wanna stare at something that is quiet harsh for eye vision.  

3) Make statement about what you see:

  Try to observe the room you're in while focusing and state what you see. Don't get panicked. You're allowed to repeat the same thing twice. Just focus on the both part of the task. Make statement about four different things that you can see.  

4) Make statement about what you hear:

  Try to observe the room you're in while focusing and state what you hear in the room or outside the room. The same way, You're allowed to repeat the same thing twice. Just maintain the visual focus and the auditory observation. Make statement about four different things that you can hear. Like as- bird singing or the clock ticking.

5) Make statement about what you feel:

  Try to continue your visual focus and observe about the things you can feel (kinesthetic). Then, make statement about four different things that you feel. Don't get overdo it. Just easy and then try to focus on what things are you feeling right now. You can, repeat the same thing if you don't find different object that you're feeling.  

6)

 i) repeat the 2nd step. But, make statement about 3 visual things
 ii) repeat the 3rd step. But, make statement about 3 auditory things
 iii) repeat the 4th step But, make statement about 3 kinesthetic object  

7)

i) repeat the 2nd step. But, make statement about 2 visual things
ii) repeat the 3rd step. But, make statement about 2 auditory things
iii) repeat the 4th step But, make statement about 2 kinesthetic object

8)

 i) repeat the 2nd step. But, make statement about 1 visual things
 ii) repeat the 3rd step. But, make statement about 1 auditory things
 iii) repeat the 4th step But, make statement about 1 kinesthetic object  

9) Auto-suggestions:

Once you're in the trance. State the suggestions you wanna make.     Repeat the procedure as many time as you like. Don’t get panicked if you can't make it in one set. just relax and enjoy the trance.
